DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES: 
The principal responsibilities of the Porter - Receiving Dock includes: receiving, checking and overseeing the transfer of inventory from Mount Sinai Hospital receiving and loading dock to the Biobar store room and research laboratories; stocking and/or preparing inventory for distribution and/or pickup; verifying supplies against packing slips and reporting any errors, maintaining manual and/or electronic record keeping systems; maintaining communication with user departments, vendors and suppliers; monitoring and transporting of Liquid Nitrogen tanks: performing cross-functional duties as assigned or requested; performing other duties consistent with the job classification as required. The successful candidate must be customer service oriented and work collaboratively as part of the BioBar team. 
  
QUALIFICATIONS: 
	- High school graduation or equivalent
 
	- Must be able to read, write and speak English
 
	- Good customer service skills
 
	- Ability to use equipment common to the work being performed i.e. computer skills, Meridian telephone system, calculator, computer, lift truck, and fax. etc.
 
	- Computer experience preferred
 
	- Lifting, pushing and/or pulling heavy objects in excess of 50 kg
 
	- Frequent walking, standing, crouching and kneeling for long periods of time
 
	- One (1) year related experience in the area of work preferred
 
	- Demonstrated satisfactory work performance and attendance record.
