Job Responsibilities:
This position will require the individual to apply advanced quantitative and qualitative research skills in support of grant applications and real-world implementation studies led by Dr. Singla in areas including, but not limited to:
- Quantitative and qualitative research projects;
- Development and implementation of research projects;
- Data collection;
- Quantitative and qualitative data analysis.
- Assist with study start-up (e.g., developing and submitting Research Ethics Board applications, writing study protocols and standard operating procedures)
- Participate in the preparation of research reports, grants, conference presentations, papers for publication, and other knowledge translation activities
- Contribute to the coordination of staff and research trainees as appropriate
Qualifications:
- Minimum of an MSc degree in Sociology, Psychology, Health Systems or a related field with 5 or more years of experience
- Proven track record of coordinating large clinical trials, preferably in mental health research
- Demonstrated professional experience and training in quantitative and qualitative research methodologies
- Professional experience preparing and submitting grant applications, as well as preparing and managing project budgets preferred
- Expertise in quantitative and qualiative data analysis and interpretation
- Demonstrated proficiency with both quantitative (i.e., SAS) and qualitative (i.e., NVivo) statistical software is required
- Extensive experience with scientific writing, with a proven track record and aptitude in scientific publishing
- Superior interpersonal skills along with analytical and problem solving skills are required.
- Superior organizational and time management skills with a flexibility to adjust to priorities
- Ability to work independently and in a collaborative team environment
- Ability to work accurately and effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Self-directed with an ability to make decisions and to exercise good judgement
- Demonstrated satisfactory work performance and attendance history
- Strong organizational skills
Salary range: $80,450 - $88,580
