Position Summary:

Applications are invited for the postdoctoral fellow position at the Lunenfeld-Tanenbaum Research Institute, Sinai Health. The successful candidate will join the molecular and genomic epidemiology research group led by Dr. Rayjean Hung in the Prosserman Centre for Population Health Research within Sinai Health.

The research group led by Dr. Hung focuses on understanding etiology and progression of cancers, through integration of molecular profile and multi-omics data using innovative computational methods for predictive modeling. The program aims  to advance the primary prevention and early detection of cancers through precision health approach. The work is conducted through national and international collaborative studies, which combines biological insights and machine learning analytics in a highly multidisciplinary research environment.

One postdoctoral fellowship is immediately available in the area of precision prevention of adiposity-related cancers. The successful candidate will join an interdisciplinary team of internationally recognized leaders in their fields, including cancer epidemiologists, experimental biologist, clinician scientists and metabolic health experts.  The Fellow will lead projects integrating molecular omics profiling predictive modeling using data from multiple randomized controlled trials for adiposity interventions including GLP-1 medicines, and large-scale population cohorts in UK, Europe and Canada.  The position offers a unique opportunity to work with rich datasets and cutting-edge analytical approaches while collaborating with leading researchers across multiple domains. The position will initially be for one year with the possibility of renewal. Fellowship stipend level will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
