POSITION OVERVIEW:

The Department of Psychiatry at Mount Sinai hospital welcomes applications for a Web Developer to work on a project that endeavors to implement and evaluate the delivery of a brief, evidence-based, psychological treatment of behavioural activation for perinatal depression and anxiety. This project is funded by the Patient-Centered Outcomes Research Institute (PCORI). The Web Developer reports to the Principal Investigator.

 

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Design and develop, update, and maintain websites and content management systems
  • Design and develop, update, and maintain portal training website for clinicians.
  • Consistently demonstrate high standards in timeliness, organization, and work quality
  • Coding websites, landing pages, emails, ads, web and mobile apps
  • Working on leading edge development using all the latest tools and techniques
  • Optimizing and performance-tuning applications for usability, file size, traffic requirements and more
  • Managing web environments from development phase to launch
  • Designing and implementing new features and functionality
  • Establishing and guiding the website’s architecture
  • Helping formulate an effective, responsive design and turning it into a working theme and plugin.

 

SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS:

  • At least 4 years experience with website development and maintenance.
  • 2+ years of experience using with software development tools (e.g., git, Github, bug tracking)
  • Advanced knowledge of HTML/JavaScript.
  • Experience working with XTML Files.
