The successful applicant will provide administrative support to the Principal Investigator(s) and other staff in the coordination of activities of Alliance for Human Development (AHD) and Healthy Life Trajectories Initiative (HeLTI) related studies.



  • Assist in the organization and the coordination of Alliance for Human Development (AHD) and Healthy Life Trajectories Initiative (HeLTI) related events and activities
  • Coordinate, schedule and organize regular and ad hoc meetings and appointments, including groups with international membership from outside the hospital
  • Prepare and distribute agendas and required materials. Take minutes as directed
  • Support external communications and relations with the wider research community
  • Provide support to grant development, donor reports and programme evaluations as needed
  • Support the development and maintain the HeLTI Portal/Website: knowledge of WordPress, Adobe Photoshop and Digital marketing are an asset
  • Prepare written correspondence, reports, presentations, and other documents using Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook
  • Organize and maintain paper and electronic filing systems for research team
  • Monitor and meet deadlines and schedules
  • Perform other general office related duties (travel arrangements, invoices, photocopying etc.)
  • Other duties as directed by the Principal Investigator(s) or their designate(s)



  • Post-secondary education in a relevant field or equivalent combination of education and experience (2+years experience). Experience working in a research environment and/or an academic hospital are an asset.
  • Demonstrated ability to work with a variety of individuals in a co-operative manner
  • Superior organizational skills, time management, flexibility to adjust to priorities, professionalism, dependability
  • Attention to detail
  • Exceptional written and oral communication skills
  • Proven discretion and initiative in dealing with confidential information and/or in responding to sensitive inquiries
  • Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint including creativity with set-ups and formats
  • Demonstrated satisfactory work performance and attendance history
